The Trophy Room

Chip July 29, 2010 After the Hunt, Featured

Thanks to PRCA bulldogger KC Jones for sending this in!  If you’re in Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo, be sure to stop by his week-long party, Rodeo Vegas, each night at the Mirage Hotel & Casino.

These photos (more after the jump) were put together by Fred Williams:

After decades of hunting; years of planning; months and months of hard work; Ken Barr’s trophy room is nearly completed. Some carpet and tile; a bar and louge area; a wall unit; about 50 more mounts, and it’s done! But for now, Ken makes a loud “wheeeeeeew” of relief! Actually, his direct quote was “ Man am I glad to have this f…ing thing done!
Ken’s dedication to hunting is well evident in this magnificient trophy room. Ken, Shirley, Syd, and Brian deserve a big Congratualions! on a job, very well done.

We all know that Ken only uses a couple of rifles on his many hunts, but that hasn’t stopped him from putting together a rather impressive collection of both fine and ordinary rifles and shotguns, as seen here in his new safe room. Without giving away the secret by being specific, I will point out that his collection of pre- ’64 Model 70 rifles would make the Winchester museum drool!!
