Mark Phillips landed this hog of a largemouth bass a couple weeks ago using a rattle trap crankbait, casting off a shallow bank at Knowltons Blue Hole in Snowlake, Arkansas. “The fish is 24″ long and estimated at over eight pounds,” said Phillips. When I first saw this photo, all I could think of was Robert Earl Keen!

I need to learn how to catch bass. The fishing is actually pretty good in my area but I always target trout.
