August 26th, 2008

Stephen “Coach” Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina sent in this fishing report:  ”I was fishing Islamarada trying for tarpon and ended up with a permit weighing about 35 pounds!”  The photo (he’s the one the left) is featured in Costa Del Mar’s online scrapbook, “All Out Battle“.

Coach was featured on Doubletough Outdoors a couple weeks ago when he landed a big mahi, see the story here.

Two Mahi, Feeds Four (Or More)

August 11th, 2008

Doubletough fisherman Stephen Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina made a summertime run to the Florida Keys this year where he and a buddy hooked into these big dolphin.  Stephen has been a longtime outdoorsman and has enjoyed going after deer and ducks, but the ocean is his first love.  From shrimping the creeks and waterways of the Carolinas to bluewater billfish offshore, he always seems to come back to the dock with a great story.
