On this Independence Day weekend, all you boaters out there, please remember to practice boating safety:
- Have the proper number of PFDs, including one throwable
- Have a whistle
- Buoys: Red, Right, Returning
- Use a spotter when backing the trailer*
Most important rule of all: have fun!
*If spotter puts on snorkeling equipment, you’re doing it wrong
