Southern Colorado Trophy

Chip November 17, 2008 Elk

I’m leaving White Earth, North Dakota today for Colorado Springs.  Quite the traveler this past week, driving my F350 with fifth wheel in tow from Wilmington, North Carolina to North Dakota, now Colorado and back home at the end of the week.  Yup, I said driving.  Love the blue highways, not the big interstates and there’s just so much to see out here.

Enough of that, on to today’s post!  Pictured is family friend Eddie Smith with a fine 6×6 bull elk he took a while back in southern Colorado on Louis Bacon’s Tercio Ranch.  Eddie is an avid outdoorsman and I always enjoy sharing stories and photos with him and this certainly qualifies as a Doubletough moment.

Awesome! Seven of us w/ two dogs, we limited out in 2.5 hours. Absolute blast. Gotta do that again real soon.
