After hitting southern fishing tournaments like the Hatteras Marlin Club Invitational and the Big Rock, anglers move up the coast to Ocean City, Maryland for the White Marlin Open. This year’s Open included the second largest blue marlin ever caught during the annual contest, a 1,010.5 pounder by angler James Kontos aboard Let It Ride.
Unlike this unlucky bunch from the Big Rock, everyone had a fishing license and they were able to take home $360,000 for the grander.
