Just Another Day At The Ranch

January 30, 2009 Antelope, Deer

Got these photos from Beach Billy back in November.  The hunter preferred not have his picture online so here they are with his identity safely hidden.

He shot this nice antelope and a fine whitetail (photo after the jump) on the same 27,000 acre ranch.  Particularly remarkable is the topography of the ranch, note the difference in the photos.

The antelope was shot at 179 yards and measured 14 inches.  The deer was knocked down at 290 yards, sported 10 points and a 20 inch spread. “Both were good animals, but I have to admit the deer ground shrunk some, but after looking at it through binoculars for over two hours before finally getting a shot, it was a trophy to me,” said the hunter.
