Hunting elk is an art form.  Months spent pouring over topos, aerials, visiting with the locals and forest management officials, scouting, then finally you’re ready to hit the woods.  Maybe you drop some bucks on a new wall tent.  Weld up the camp stove.  Get the food lined up and coordinate travel plans.  Pack horses or atv’s are trailered and ready to go.  Rifle cleaned, bow sighted.  You’re all pumped up and opening day is right around the corner.  Then one day you walk outside…..
