Don’t Mess With Canadian Cattle

October 20, 2011 Campfire Stories, Sightings

This comes out of British Columbia where a black bear had been agitating a herd of beef cattle.  During his daily routine the rancher captured this series of photo proving you don’t want to be caught in a dark alley with a gang of angus.

As the bear approaches, a 12-year old heifer named “I-12″ is the first make contact.  And we mean contact!  She’s aided by a 7-year old Angus before the bear is able to get away.  No word on whether the bear survived it’s suspected injuries of broken ribs.
