Last fall this buck made headlines as it cut a trail through downtown Charleston, South Carolina. Being my old college stomping ground, I was particularly excited to hear about and how it eventually made it’s way into Colonial Lake, a 1-acre pond not far from where these photos were taken. Unfortunately the story did not have a happy ending as the deer had to be put down after being hauled from the pond.
