Yesterday I was north of Pierre, South Dakota chasing pheasants and it reminded me of this email from 2006. The story goes that a pheasant hunter named Kent Ferguson of Mohall, North Dakota was in the field when his dog jumped a mountain lion. The cat went after the dog and Kent dispatched it with three rounds from his shotgun. The dog escaped with a few stitiches and the cat was estimated at 100 pounds.
